Hobbies are food for the soul. Without the missions that we dedicate our precious free time towards, we are simply vessels for the capitalist corporations that benefit from our time. Through community events, print magazines, and social media campaigns, SIDEQUEST seeks to strengthen the communities of hobbyists in our country.
SIDEQUEST publishes new printed issues monthly. Featured hobbies are carefully chosen by their team of expert curators based on suggestions and feedback from their community.
Their target audience is young, corporate men who live in cities. They are curious about new experiences and want to live a little bit outside of their day jobs. They are looking to meet new people and find new communities to be a part of.
SIDEQUEST is a work in progress. Part of their mission is to admit that they aren’t perfect, but that over time they will continue to get better. They are heavily driven by their community and seek feedback from them to ensure they are in touch with their audience’s needs.
This project saw me design and curate a single issue for their magazine on coffee, as well as a website for their digital presence.
